Newton's Law
.5 oz Demerara syrup or maple syrup
2 oz. bourbon
.75 oz. fresh lemon juice
2.5 t apple butter (storebought or homemade) (scant 1 T)
Garnish: lemon zest strip and small or split cinnamon stick.
Directions:
Put all ingredients except garnish into cocktail shaker. Shake until well chilled, about 15 seconds. Strain into an ice-filled rocks glass. Garnish with lemon twist and cinnamon stick.
Notes:
Can add apple blossom bitters
