I finally got around to obtaining some bitters to enter the cocktail game. This is my first one that I’ve ever made with bitters! I borrowed Kolby’s espresso martini recipe back a couple of months ago. I’m not sure where he’s getting all these allocated bitters and liqueurs from, but I could only find half of the ingredients.
I still wanted to try it out though, so I combined:
1.5 oz Rebecca Creek double barrel
1.3 oz espresso
2 dashes of ango bitters
2 dashes of walnut bitters
Shaken, not stirred.
It’s different from the neat drinks that I normally enjoy. It’s bitter and sweet at the same time, and definitely robust. Will surely need to obtain more ingredients and revisit.
Edit - this reminds me of a coffee barrel aged stout beer
